With Eventail des caresses (Cœur, Poumons, Utérus) – translated as “Spectrum of Caresses” (Heart, Lungs, Uterus) – Mai-Thu Perret creates a poetic sculpture situated between body, ritual, and sound. The bronze work, made in 2018, consists of three organically shaped hanging elements representing the heart, lungs, and uterus, which move in the wind and produce a delicate, bell-like resonance. Perret combines feminist imagery with spiritual and art-historical references, lending the human body a presence that is at once intimate and symbolic.
