We are pleased to show the exhibition by the great artist Michael Kienzer with results of his most recent artistic research.
‘Melted into the surroundings’ is the title of a series of new works by the artist, that show a new approach towards central questions in the artist’s sculptural thinking. The works are conceived on the floor without a fixing element in the gathering and layering of material, objet trouvés from weekly material searches and remnants from the artist’s studio. Combined with Kienzer’s assemblages in display cases on the walls, in which the overlapping of different media has been performed before, the origins of these new thoughts are visible.
