We are pleased to announce our participation at this year’s FIAC Hors Les Murs with works by Michael Kienzer.

Michael Kienzer choses to show four new sculptures of his series Falter (German for „folders“ as well as „butterflies“), lined up along the main path of the baroque gardens.
Simple, slightly deformed sheet metal panels, each painted in different shades, are joined together at the edges. Painting-turned-sculptural, that reveals, loosely scattered, spatial architectural dimensions. Due to the punctual, barely visible connection between the different monochromatic colour areas, they appear to be holding each other in a fragile balance. The individual Falter engage in a dialogue, both with each other and with the architecture, and lure the visitors into amplifying this discourse. (Margareta Sandhofer)

The outdoor format of FIAC Paris will take place in the Jardin des Tuileries of the Louvre Museum from October 19 until 24, 2021. The Jardin des Tuileries are open to the public for free, everyday from 7:30 until 19:30.

FIAC Hors les Murs is an exhibition of outdoor artworks presenting sculptures and installations to the widest possible audience in emblematic public spaces throughout the city. Providing a unique opportunity for artists to enter into a dialogue with Parisian heritage sites, the programme favors ease of access to contemporary creation and encourages broader knowledge on sight cultural mediation
FIAC Hors les Murs is housed in prestigious Parisian venues including the Jardin des Tuileries, the musée national Eugène Delacroix and the Place Vendôme.
