My works are created in dialogue with art and science. I understand art as a cosmic language that embodies a knowledge that, unlike science, cannot be expressed in formulae or words.
I am particularly interested in the separation between man and the environment – earth and cosmos. […] My artistic method is based on the fusion of art, science and the mysteries of the universe, which is reflected in my choice of materials and processes. It arises from the pursuit of a connection between human existence and the infinite dimensions of time and space. To create this connection, I combine earthly and extraterrestrial material: symbols that stand for the ‘primordial’ and the ‘finite’. They are not only carriers of history, but also messengers of a future.
My work is an attempt to weave together the fine threads that connect the individual, the collective and the cosmos – creating a web in which art serves as a bridge between the known and the unknown. (Mona Schulzek)
