Biography

John M Armleder 1948 born in Geneva, 1966-1967 Ecole des Beaux-Arts Genva, 1969 founding of the Fluxusgroup Ecart with Patrick Lucchini and Claude Rychner Geneva, 1973—1983 founding of Galerie Ecart Geneva, 1992—2000 member of the Swiss Federal Comission for Fine-Arts Bern, since 1994 Professor at the Braunschweig Art Academy and at the Ecole cantonale d’art Lausanne, lives and works in Geneva and New York.
Solo exhibitions at Galerie Elisabeth & Klaus Thoman: 2016 FISH (Vienna), 2014 Scramble (Innsbruck), 2011 late (Vienna), 2009 Sunny side up, over easy and soft boiled (Innsbruck).
